Sacraments
Baptism
One parent or guardian must be a practicing Catholic. Three months prior notice is preferable before the Baptism. Some of the required preparation for this Sacrament includes a meeting of the parent/guardian(s) with the Pastor. All Baptisms are celebrated within the Liturgy of the Holy Mass. For more information, please contact the Parish Office.
Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Penance is offered each Saturday at 3:45 p.m. Reconciliation is available either face-to-face, or behind the screen during regularly-scheduled times. This Sacrament is also available by appointment.
Holy Communion
The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith. As Catholics, we believe that we receive the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ when we partake of Holy Communion. Preparation for this Sacrament is a vital part of early faith formation for the children of our parish and is coordinated through the Elementary Education program. Adults desiring Holy Communion must be Catholics in good standing with the Church and must not be conscious of grave sin. Those members of our parish who are unable to attend Holy Mass should contact the Pastor for information about our Homebound Ministry.
Confirmation
This Sacrament is celebrated in our parish for our teens after a program of preparation and is usually conferred at the age of 16. Adults who have not yet been confirmed, for whatever reason, are strongly encouraged to contact the Pastor who can assist them in receiving this important Sacrament.
Holy Matrimony
A minimum of 6 months prior notice to the Pastor is required. Marriage preparation includes a pre-Cana workship and one-on-one meetings with the Pastor. Contact the parish office.
Holy Orders
Those interested in exploring either service in the Diaconate or the Priesthood should contact the Pastor.
Anointing of the Sick
This Sacrament is available to all Catholics who are seriously ill with physical or emotional illness or who are preparing for surgery. It is important to inform the Pastor whenever you or a loved one is hospitalized, since privacy laws do not allow the hospital to contact him. The Church encourages all who are near death to receive The Last Rites. In our parish, we have Masses for Healing several times each year during which our seniors, regardless of their health, may receive the Annointing of the Sick. These special Masses are noted in the parish bulletin. Please do not hesitate to ask Father for this Sacrament if you or a Catholic family member are seriously ill.
