Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament has resumed as of Friday, June 19, 2020 from 9AM to 12PM weekly on Friday. The monstrance is placed on the main altar.
Masks are mandatory, bring our own sanitizers, sanitizing our seats and front of next pew before and after our time, no sign in, sanitizing our hands upon entry and exit. Seat far apart, 6 -12ft apart except for family members.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament requires no training in order to participate. We Catholics take Jesus at His word when he said "This is My Body." We belive the Holy Eucharist really is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Our God, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. We believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist
Some Catholics think that we can gain grace from the Eucharist only by receiving Holy Communion. After Mass is completed, the sacrament lives on. Jesus, in His sacramental body and blood remains here with us as our friend, just as He promised. This is why we should visit our friend, Jesus Christ, in the Blessed Sacrament, to return His love for us and to draw spiritual strength and nourishment and encouragement from that love.
Saint Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa), on one of her visits to our country, was asked what we could do to help her in her work. She replied, "The greatest help would be to spend one hour each week in silent adoration before the Blessed Sacrament."
